Watch below for a very thrilling race which saw three American place quite high and one medal for the first time ever in the event for an American woman. Brenda Martinez closed hard to secure the Bronze with a time of 1:57.91 while Alysia Montano led most of the way and faltered late, getting 4th in 1:57.95. Ajee Wilson ran very well for 6th place in her first ever major championship race, breaking Mary Cain's US Junior Record for 800m with an outstanding 1:58.21!
