Larios to Replace Dawson as New Head Coach at Florida Southern Press Release Mar 06, 2007

Jose Larios, who has been the cross country and track coach at Warner Southern College the past six years, will be the new cross country and track coach at Florida Southern College. Larios will succeed longtime Moccasin coach A.L. "Buck" Dawson, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.

Under Dawson, the Moccasin cross country program has dominated the Sunshine State Conference. The men's team has won the last 10 SSC championships and the women's team has won six SSC titles, including last fall's. Both teams qualified for their respective NCAA Division II Championships last fall, with the women finishing 15th and the men 20th.
